Worship

Herein, is an approach to worshiping God. I’m not a prophet or clergy, I’m a commonologist with no credentials other than I love God… same as a lot of other folks.

The best way to worship and serve God…
is to do what you love. We honor our Father when we love.

I grew up briefly encountering a southern Baptist doctrine. My childhood take away from the experience was that of confusion. Quotes from John, Paul, Peter and others seemed to dominate the Bible curriculum. It seemed that God’s words were less frequently studied. It appeared to me as a youngster that the Bible book writers and our preacher were of Devine origin. But I sensed some conflicting messages between Christ’s words and their words. Hence confusion ensued and I eventually dropped out of church.

As an adult, after my second major mental breakdown, I studied and worshipped the Bible. I collected several different versions. I have my prized edition wrapped in a fancy leather case. I desperately needed healing. I fell in love with the book. But it wasn’t the Bible that I was in love with. I realized that I was loving God’s closeness to me with the Bible… It’s a feeling… like when sensing and appreciating a bird, flower or jellyfish. (see my Feeling post for more)

Worshiping the Bible causes us to elevate the fully human aspects of its writings to Holy. I believe that Satan is responsible for that practice because he’s a tricky “used car salesman”. Satan is cleverly smart. He knew that elevating men’s words to Holy in Scripture would divide us. Dividing your enemy is a basic step towards achieving power over them. In the fray, it’s easier for the demon to use our emotions against us. (see Overcoming for more)

Humans

God isn’t human with one brief Teaching exception.

God tells us through the Bible that we should only worship our One God.

God’s creations have His fingerprint on them. His “feeling/healing” Spirit permeates everything. He’s in the air we breathe. He’s in the stars. He’s in a rock. The Bible has God’s Spirit, but not a Fingerprint. The Bible is a human tribute referenced to God’s Word (Message) with man’s fingerprint… like a church building. Our constructions have our fingerprint. God’s creations have His. God’s fingerprint is in us. We can “feel” God through each other… or an ant. Or through the Bible, a website, or even a painting.

Connecting

Jesus taught us networking. He taught us to be discerning. He didn’t put us in an elaborate building or fancy leather case. He met us on the earth. He told us that we didn’t need a large crowd in order to be with Him. Christ didn’t tell us to worship him, he said we are to worship God by loving, unconditionally, Creation.

God’s in the Bible because God Spirit is in us. God’s in a cloud. He’s in everything. God is reflected throughout the universe.

Satan exists because of God. So do we.

We’re on dangerous ground when placing Devine attributes on fully humans… The ones that built the Bible cannon, the writers of its contents and the clergy. We’re holding men above other men. God says we’re all equal in His eyes. But we typically don’t follow that thinking.

God rightfully and graciously has power over us. We have none except to love or hate our neighbor. We tend to follow our human emotions. We’re vulnerable to Satan’s spirit. Our spirit leads us and our conscience follows. We help ourselves by focusing on God’s Spirit. Discernment is knowing who you’re listening to. That’s not always easy. We can only do our best. We aren’t able to be perfect for any more than a blessed dream.

God’s allowing the Devil to spiritually “speak” to us. Satan’s the “bad cop” filter protecting God’s Domain from free will evil human tendencies.

Satan doesn’t want us to know that God’s the “good cop”… protecting us from the Devil’s terrible spiritual influence. Satan wants to divide and conquer us. Satan wants his own following because he’s envious of God.

But when the Devil takes a life, he doesn’t necessarily get to keep it. God has final say for who comes into God’s Domain. Satan is subject to God. So are we.

Our spirit is composed of our emotions. Satan’s spirit is after our spirit. Intrusive thoughts are the Devil’s “passion play”.

Praying to God for help, overcomes Satan’s scheming.

In order to defeat Satan, we simply listen to God and love one another, respecting that our neighbor is uniquely different from us. And treat our neighbor like we want to be treated. If we’re mentally healthy, we want love and respect from everyone… so we oblige others. (see Unique for more)

“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 7:12 NIV

In other words, it’s illegal to be an a’hole. Love in kindness is the key to pleasing our Creator.

The Dream

It’s been many a dreamers’ dream to unite us as one under love’s emotions. A ‘common good’ single human united spirit.

Only one man’s message can unite us… Jesus Christ’s, the Teacher and Healer. I don’t believe humans will ever globally unite without God’s Love Message as the only guiding Spirit.

Jesus Christ taught us to pray with a grateful heart, asking the Father to make it on earth as it is in heaven. The Lord’s Prayer is a blueprint.

When we worship God, and love our fellow man without worshiping men or our man made objects… we obey His command and begin to approach Heaven united and undivided as One. 💙
