Angel

I believe God’s got interactive helpers.

There’s been numerous times when I felt that I have an angel looking out for me.

Three stand out.

1. I was with my two young friends, Stanley and Butch. We were “swimming” in Lake Allatoona. My swim skills were limited to getting wet, so we were standing neck deep to enjoy the full summer cooling effect. I was standing between my buddies and lost my footing slipping into deeper water. I panicked breathing in some lake water. Next thing I knew I had my footing and was no longer under water. I was back to where I was before I slipped. My friends had tried to grab me but Butch said that I jerked away and told them to “leave me alone”. It wasn’t me that said that. 💕

2. I pray my wife doesn’t read this. She rode with me when we were dating but now we have grandkids. When I ask, she says no, “because she doesn’t want both of us to die at the same time!” 😜

Three of us were out for a group ride. We were navigating some north Georgia “twisties”. I was leading. As I entered the apex of one of the curves a motorist showed up in my lane… in my path… head on. My friend Jerry was behind me and saw the whole thing. He said my maneuvering was perfect. Just enough to miss the car but not so much that I lost control into the ditch. It was instantaneous. All I remember is the panicked look on the lady’s face driving the car.

God’s Little Cloud

3. This little cloud gave me a feeling that God was loving me. Simple as that. ❤️💕

I was tired, now I’m REtired… Except for some unavoidable honey-dos, I pretty much goof off for a living now. I’m cruising through what’s left of my life like the songbird that greets the morning sun… With thanks for a new day, and grace from an old one. ❤️
