Inside the Internet

I painted like a grownup when I was a child. As a grownup, I share a child’s reflections to anyone listening.

Currently calming and pondering…
I’m 15 in dog years
my wife says I’m 10
my brain tells me I’m 9
but well into my 8th decade
as measured by Earth’s solar orbit
…relatively old for a kid

This website is how I can love my kids’ kid’s kids that I likely won’t see in this lifetime. Walt Disney said, “it is kind of fun to do the impossible”.

From Livelihood to Lifehood

Now that I’m retired, except for some unavoidable “honey do’s”, I pretty much goof off for a living. I do lots of thinking… then writing… then anguishing… then editing… then anguishing some more… finally getting around to those “honey do’s”.

My last career job was computer aided design of internet operating circuit board layouts along with a distinguished team of engineers, managers and support personnel. Prior to that I was an electronics technician evolving into circuit board design in the defense industry working with tactical missile systems. My first career job was a professional artist. During my younger years I worked many odd jobs beginning at age nine with a newspaper delivery route.

The most important career lesson I learned was from a female automobile mechanic. I was in my late teens and wasn’t happy with where I was working at the time and she told me, “The best thing you can do is make yourself valuable”.

Ed’s Art Net is my most fun and challenging work to date. Rendering both art and words to the internet within God’s good graces has been the most gratifying project of my lifetime.
