“I’ve been thinking about our fortune
And I’ve decided that we’re really not to blame
For the love that’s deep inside us now
Is still the same
And the sound we make together
Is the music to the story in your eyes
It’s been shining down upon you now, I realize”
Story in Your Eyes – The Moody Blues

Eeyore’s sentiment well suits my wife’s demeanor.
I’m grateful I can tell her things and she can tolerate them. 😬
Susan is my best friend. She sees me at my weakest and shows me how to live with my wacky self. We even share some common interests, like football, popcorn, and a couple of kids. Family is priority. Our animals get loving treatment because they’re dependent on us for comfort. Kids grow up and make THEMSELVES comfortable. Then visit sometimes because we’re blessed with good kids. 😊
Susan’s the same beautiful, shy girl that I met at Dr. Banks’s waiting room in 1978 with my head between my knees so I wouldn’t pass out from the dog gore I had just witnessed in the veterinarian’s operation room. 😜
I believe God wanted her to have some sort of wacky doodle human male challenge to deal with… ‘cause she’s so good with “strays”! 🥰 And I believe God wanted me to grow up with a lovely and mature wife and a caring couple of good kids. 😊
