under a tree
wondering to be
beyond the lee
amid the sea
outside of me
untethered and free

Many of us are drawn to the heavens. I imagine we’re the only species on the planet that dreams of outer space adventure!
What created this outer notion in our beautifully designed brain? Perhaps it’s love for notional outer space adventure. Perhaps it’s the delusional nature of our cerebral cortex. Or perhaps we’ve developed an inner space notion of an outer understanding… God knows!

if the moon were to speak
would it not be humbling…
all our howling
rebounding…
God knows everything… Even the reason for this website. I have an inkling that Ed’s Art Net’s purpose is to push pause on our current sociocultural Christian perspective. Perhaps breaking a destructive spiritual cycle… God knows!
Early On
Before writing was invented… rocks, plants and animals roamed the planet having been created by the uncaused Cause of the universe, who is infinitely more than a pronoun. In “His” infinite Devine designing wisdom He knew the complete life cycle of all Creation… to the smallest detail… start to finish, even before He “spoke” the universe into existence. Which is just a wee bit beyond human comprehension. So none of us can know God fully, but thankfully, He knows each one of us inside and out. That truth alone, is reason enough for inner peace… when love is dominant at our core.
God bestowed spirit along with self-awareness to “His” creatures providing us with instinct, reason and purpose. Humans stand out from the other animals only because we were made with an awareness of the Creator. We have His “image” built in. We can emotionally ‘see’ God in everything. Perhaps “seeing” most obviously in the starry night sky.
Our “image” of our Designer begins to come into focus when we look beyond ourselves towards others. At birth, we get our first closeup glimpse of God in our parent’s eyes. As we grow, so does our inner and outer horizon.
Renderings
Here in the USA, native Americans worshipped God in a natural way. The European settlers worshipped God in their way and the founding fathers politically made religious freedom a guaranteed reality. But the Devil’s been pursuing us. We’re faced with choices between what’s good and bad every day. God helps us to make more good choices than bad when we listen to Him and dismiss the Devil. The challenge is knowing who you’re listening to. The reward is love and healing when we fully understand the feeling in the spiritual messaging. God good. Devil bad. It’s our responsibility to know and act on the difference.
Us and our planet are intrinsically attached. Satan has been after the world since his beginning. The Devil is closer than ever to success with many of us. But it’s not the Devil’s fault. God set the stage. We are merely actors playing out our self-governed uniquely independent role. When we listen for the Stage Master’s reassuring voice and dismiss the heckler in the audience we are better able to enjoy life’s show.
Satan’s strength
is focused by our hate
Earth started out as God’s creation. It still is. Humans are free-willed ‘gardeners’ of the planet. We can connect spiritually with the Creator in through God’s etherial creation, Satan. A better connection is through God’s supernatural creation, the Son. We can connect physically through the myriad of everything that makes up the universe. Love is practiced by many. Hate can be overcome because at the heart of everything is Love. God is everything. God is Love. God created everything with love but gave us the propensity to hate as a filter from heaven. We get to decide who we are following.
Casting Light
Mainstream Christianity follows a writing in the Bible book of John wherein he writes that only believers in Christ will go to heaven. I might well be the only person on the planet that did not get that same message from Jesus Christ’s words.
God’s strength
is focused by our love
The Bible contains God’s Messaging and is also a catalog of human stories. The heart of the Bible is the supernatural recordings of God and Jesus Christ. Those supernatural aspects of the Bible are Divinely Holy. Much of the Bible writings are inspired or inspiring, but not Divine. We’re old enough now to discern the difference. That’s the message God has given me. The message I got is that He loves us ALL… not just a select few. God is the Great Healer promoting goodness in life. Satan is the ‘self’ inflammatory used car wheeler dealer selling death. We’re all subject to the Devil’s influence. Focusing on loving others is Jesus Christ’s guidepost to living a good life.
Discernment
In mainstream Christian philosophy, we’ve been placing other fellow human beings along side Jesus Christ spiritually elevating them above others. That complicates God’s messaging by adding our own bunch of diversionary rules. As a very significant example, we Christians put too much emphasis on Jesus’s disciple John’s own personal, but not Divinely Holy, writing. John’s recordings of Jesus Christ’s Words are Divine in nature, but some of his writing reads like John being John, who was a fisherman caught in the friendly “net” of loving and following Jesus Christ. ❤️
Shouldn’t we be living and loving by God’s one simple uniting RULE, which was clarified repeatedly for us by Jesus? Many people do live and love by that Rule, some without knowing or else believing in Jesus Christ. Bible contributing naturally occurring human beings, such as the prophets, Paul and some of Jesus’s disciples wrote by that Rule, but they were not Divinity. They were loving followers of God… like John, the fisherman, Jesus’s best friend when He was walking the earth. Jesus was a fisher of men. But His “net” doesn’t capture, it “holds on loosely” so we are free to spread love.
By making the entire Bible writings Divine, I believe that we mixed the will of God with some of our own human emotionally charged will.
Satan’s influence will ultimately vanish in God’s time.
One thing I know about God is that He’s very patient. But not forever patient. God’s image is living in our heart, watching and waiting. We realize an eternity of love’s reward when we love God and Creation back with all we have to muster. God planted a seed in our heart. We are the ones who water it.
I’m not saying that the Bible needs to change. Quite the contrary. Naturally occurring humans beautifully frame God’s Message. I am saying that the spiritual inspirations from the natural human writers should simply be read with more “grownup” conscientious discernment. Jesus Christ, fulfilled God’s promise. No one else. ❤️
