Website

I’ve done lots of website editing. It’s calming… like shampooing… wash, rinse, repeat. The shampoo directions don’t say “wash, rinse, repeat once”. No, it says, “wash, rinse, repeat”. It takes a whole bottle to get my head clean. If this website had another name, it’d be Calm Olive Branch Shampoo.

” A breath of fresh air”

I built Ed’s Art Net for my family and me. Daddy, pop-pop’s wacky old art asylum. My calming refuge in a stormy world. A web “book” the grandkids might like to read when they’re old enough.

There’s also a global audience that I “talk” with (in my imagination). My imaginary audience is keen on a good presentation. Maybe it’s God I’m “hearing” the feedback from… I like to think so. God understands everything I’m thinking. I feel Him smiling. I sense Him through my family. I sense God everywhere.

Organic intelligence (OI)

I haven’t explored using AI. Nothing in Ed’s Art Net is designed using artificial intelligence. Computers are not smart. People are smart. People are empathetic. People can know what you meant. Computers can’t feel your joy or sense your pain. We can love computers, but they are not our “buddy”, they’re an occasionally annoying service tool that can help us with mundane tasks… very fast.

I’ve been proofreading and editing for a long time

online since September 2007
…but not the same

It’s been fun and challenging, kinda like cleaning up a mess in the yard DURING a storm. But it got easier after I retired. Efforts entered a major paradigm shift when I discovered how to build text hyperlinks.

I’ve also been learning how to write better since I retired. (Maybe I’m just becoming a better listener.) Rewording sentences has been a major part of my editing. I’ve also been occasionally adding a new paragraph or post, correcting or deleting mistakes, and rearranging things for a better flow and more clarity. I tend to give myself plenty of editing work to do.

But right now, I feel like I’m finished… Will see. 🕤

In website informational conclusion…

🔴🟡🟢 Visitor traffic-wise… I’ve been working my way towards a future audience; my kids kid’s kids, and so on

If Ed’s Art Net were to be parental rated, it would likely be PG-13. Some of my artwork and writing might scare young kids.

I’ve been told my website gives folks pause to think.

This web place isn’t without cyber criminal safeguards, but I don’t expect the world to end if Ed’s Art Net goes offline. 😜

Thanks for spending time with me

Susan told me that my website sounds a lot like preaching. I’m not a preacher. I’m a commonologist husband, father, and pop-pop who sounds a lot like a preacher on his website.

It is what it is…
