My first commercial artist’s job was to sketch on paper, make a Xerox copy then transfer the Xerox to a canvas backed rubber sheet. The quarter inch thick sheet was hand engraved for making a flexographic printing plate mold masters. I no longer have the original sketch, just this copy. The old Xerox camera with bellows was probably a 1940’s or 50’s vintage machine. But served its purpose well for the hand engraving step by step process.

I’m a retired fully human family man. Except for some unavoidable honey-do’s, I pretty much goof off for a living now. Ed’s Art Net is a sharing of my art and grandiose thinking.
